The Lift Every Voice Library of African/African American Culture & Heritage exist to disrupt the myth that African American Heritage is lost. We are here to curate, and make studying about the vast influence of Africa, and African descendant people all over the world readily available in a safe environment. Just like any other library, literacy and offering educational resources, a media center, and cohesive programming for the disenfranchised community we serve is our goal. We are a bridge to the “lost” histories of African Descendant people and our mission is to spread that representation and resources to as many community members as we can.
