- The Lower Madison Partnership is a Manhattan neighborhood organization focused on improving the quality of life on lower Madison Avenue and side streets, primarily East 30th through East 33rd Streets between Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue South. Street tree care, graffiti removal, street and sidewalk sanitation and public safety are our mission. This Midtown South neighborhood is not in a business improvement district, although it is predominately zoned commercial.
- We Participate Because
- The Lower Madison Partnership's volunteer tree care team is participating in IOBY to help improve the health of neighborhood street trees and the environment. We care about our young urban forest, which is challenging to maintain in a Manhattan neighborhood with heavy pedestrain and vehicular traffic from commercial businesses, commuters, tourists and residents. Our volunteer organization needs resources to protect and preserve our street trees, including funds for sturdy tree guards and soil-compost mix.
