Downtown Cleveland Residents is a grassroots organization lead by volunteers, not employees. Over the past year and a half, we have provided Downtown residents a platform in which each resident's voice can be heard. A platform that connects residents not only with their neighbors, but also with public officials and others that have an impact on the continuing transformation of Downtown Cleveland. At our monthly community forums, we have new and continuing discussions on improving Downtown Cleveland while establishing positive relationships with the Third District Cleveland Police Department, the City of Cleveland public officials and many of the city's stakeholders. For our residents, we are also providing that necessary sense of community, of importance, of belonging. By continuing to gather neighbors with shared values and a compassion for the welfare of others within their community, we are already having an impact. In the years to come, Downtown Cleveland will become a more walkable, bicycle friendly, safe, affordable residential neighborhood for all individuals because of our grassroots influence.
