- Our mission is to end hunger and homelessness in Allen County, Kansas. We operate a food pantry, community garden, and a free laundry program. Through local donations, we help pay utility, medical and work expenses for those who cannot make ends meet.
- We Participate Because
- 68% of our school children qualify for free or reduced meals. Our poverty rate is 18%, with over 41% living at 200% of the poverty level or less. Our City council just voted to allow utility accounts delinquent because of the COVID-19 pandemic a mere 15 days to get current before disconnection. We expect need for help with utility expenses to soar.
