PS 107 Edible Garden

At ioby, we especially love projects that have clear environmental impacts in the local community that also are an opportunity for learning and community building among the people who interact with the project.

So it’s probably not all that surprising that edible school gardens are often among our favorite projects. A school garden can be a great way for students and teachers to use an empty space on the school property, add some green to the neighborhood, improve soil quality, grow fresh vegetables, and teach NYC’s future leaders about the importance of healthy eating, healthy ecosystems, and teamwork. You can find many of these awesome projects on ioby in Brooklyn at PS 107, Queens at PS 78, and Manhattan and PS 11.
