the project

Our goal is to engage youth - ages 10-17 in many different locations (anywhere we are welcome including the Juvenile Detention center, rec centers, boys and girls club, YMCA, and anywhere youth gather and we are welcome). Our events are pop-up style and focused on engaging youth with art expression. We hope to provide safe spaces where youth can express themselves and maybe find their artistic voices. 

We want to use the funds raised to put on the events and create a sustainable model that happens year-round.. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of hope and encouragement. We hope to work with youth ages 10-17,  HOWEVER, all are welcome!      

the steps

1. We are going to use our social media platforms. (I.E) Neighborhood up, Instagram lives, we are going to create flyers, we are going to create tic tocks and use snap chat.

2. We would network at upcoming community events. We could also go to local parks, recreation centers, and work with local community churches.

Our prospective date for our first event is going to be sometime in September. We would like to have quarterly events.

why we're doing it

To bring a variety of ages together to discuss their history. (Where they're from/ where they like to be in life.) We also want our community children to get out the house daily in the daytime away from ISOLATION. While we are doing all of this, we want to create positivity when it comes to development growth. Also combat mental health through our ice cream social. We want them to be young entrepreneurs someday.
