the project

We hope to remove unsafe conditions from our student-athlete's locker room as soon as possible. We plan to remove broken lockers, leaking showers, pest-infested urinals, backed-up toilets, and broken doors. After demolition, we need to sanitize and seal the floors, seal any areas where pests are entering the area, clean walls/ceiling/floors,paint, install functioning toilets/urinals/sinks, lockers, and AC. If we are able to exceed our goal, we plan to provide an area for the team to watch film and gather.

  • 5K   -  locker removal and clean out

                    - floor, wall, ceiling, bathroom, and storage closet powerwashing

  • 25K - new lockers with installation and paint/stain, bench seat, wood build out with wire between for breathability, secure lock storage, front door, and 

                      player name plate

why we're doing it

We love our school! As a community we wanted to help instead of complain. Our facilities manager is doing his absolute best and we want to come alongside and help where we can. Hopefully, WS alumni and partners will be inspired to get involved in helping provide financial assistance to improve our facilities.

Description

$28,000.00: Build 60 lockers with doors (7'6" tall x 24" wide x 18" deep), hardware for locks and hanging, build a helmet/ pad tree and paint one color or stain
$3,500.00: Remove the lockers, clean the floors and seal the floors

David Tashie with Malco Theaters has generously offerred to donate a brand new AC unit for our project!  We are working with school officials to get approval.  Thank you Malco for this amazing gift!

Spartan Nation recieved a $10,000 donation from an anonymous donor!  Along with the fund raising the boys have done, Spartan Nation is contributing approximately $16,000 to the football locker room!
