the project

I want to establish a regularly occurring Open Door Dinner to build community, connection and conversation. The focus of the supper events is creating a welcoming space for a wide spectrum of individuals with different stories, interests and backgrounds to co-mingle and create new connections. Initial invitees will be encouraged to bring an acquaintance that they’d like to know more about or connect to a broader community. Repeat attendance will always be encouraged to foster a growing, interconnected community.

 

The dinners will span a consistent window of time (eg. Sundays~5-8pm) with food provided at no cost to the guests.  Meals will be designed to scale easily and economically based on the attendance any given day.

September-October: Fundraise for Dinners

October-November: Plan meals, promote the event and design conversation starter materials & connection guides.

Mid-November 2022 through April 2023: Initial run of FREE dinner events to connect and foster community. LET’S. GO!

why we're doing it

After nearly three years of living with Covid, many of our social connections have been fractured. I've always experienced deep connections with others when gathered around a table sharing a delicious prepared meal. Our hope is that these regularly-occurring FREE dinners, prepared by chefs and home cooks will build community, build connections and create something new and beautiful.
