The most important reason we are doing this film is so residents of communities, especially communities which have been underserved, understand a exploitative cycle – not of the process of regentrification, but of the people don’t recognize the value of land, the importance of political activism and most importantly, that they can be their own agents of community development.
The entire process for producing a documentary, especially a socially-sensitive story, from pre-production to principal photography to post-production to distribution will need to be completed. We will build a production team born of Northeast Ohio and youth from various communities to participate.
The most important reason we are doing this film is so residents of communities, especially communities of color which have been historically exploited and underserved, understand an exploitative cycle – not of the process of regentrification, but where the community residents don’t recognize the value of their land, the importance of political activism and, most importantly, that they can be their own agents of community development...with a little help from their friends and family.
