About the project
Larimer is building it's own sustainable, diversified green future. Larimer's Green Team under the auspious of the Larimer Consensus Group leads community involvement in the Larimer Community Garden to help the community eat healthy, grow their own vegetables, educate each other, and teach young ones how to survive socially, nutritionally and building entrepreneurship.
The projects we're leading in 2018 are:
-Seedling cultivation event to teach people how to start seedlings.
-Cooking from the garden where community elders teach young ones how to prepare the foods that they grow, healthy eating, learning from others, and socializing intergenerationally.
-Designing and rebuilding the community greenhouse.
-Repair our fencing.
-Volunteer clean up days.
-Bring on a garden manager to manage operations.
-Teaching composting and managing the garden's compost.
-Materials and activities for workshops.
-Food for volunteers.

Why we‘re doing it
We want our community to grow and be diversified. If we offer these things to sustain the community that's here and attract new neighbors, our community would flourish.
