About the project
Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a community-sharing project in North Braddock and Braddock, PA. We identify untapped skills and resources within our community and help our residents share those assets with their neighbors. This summer we will collaborate with the Braddock Summer Youth Project to train four local youth to organize community block parties on their blocks, giving residents a space to come together as a community and talk about their needs, skills, and resources.
The Steps

Why we‘re doing it
Braddock and North Braddock face poverty, widespread vacant properties, high unemployment, and racial and class divisions. This project will give people a chance to trust their neighbors again, and to find ways to improve each other's lives without the use of money.
