A number of Broadway performers have moved onto the block recenty. With roles in Hamilton and West Side Story, among others, we hope to present their talents over a series of evenings in the Community Garden . Local jazz artists will also delight during this summer performance series.  A open mic will be offered to yet undiscovered talent in the audience. Funds raised(and100% matched via this campaign) will pay for stipends for unemployed performers, as well as staging equipment and light refreshments for the audience. A donation of $1000 will socre the donor 2 house seats for Hamilton and a visit back stage.

why we're doing it

Our series will enliven the community with performing arts and make performances more accessible to a broader audience,  including residents from a nearby youth group home and nearby homeless shelter . It will also will provide some financial assistance to an industry especially hard hit by the pandemic. It will also foster a sense of community and fellowshp eroded by the pandemic, while strengthening our appreciation for local parks.
