This is an exciting time! 

Mission in Motion, Inc  provides comprehensive sesssions for individuals who want to start their own business. In these sessions, participants share their business ideas, roadblocks, and fears that they face in moving forward on the path to becoming entrepreneurs.  

At the beginning of the 9-week session, we start with quotes to help encourage one another, one of those being "You miss 100% of the shots that you don't take." The quotes were utilized as one way to encourage the participants and to spark their passion and creativity.

One of our guest speakers was very insightful in regards to the demands that can be placed on an individual starting their own business. Since the guest started a business and watched it grow into multiple facilities, we were eager to learn from their experiences.

 Participants set goals, developed strategies, and we helped them set expectations. Attending the sessions alone was an admirable feat, as some were battling illness, working a traditional 9 to 5, caring for relatives that were ill, and still they found a way to stay committed to the process. This says a lot about the participants, their passion, and their hopes and dreams of starting their own businesses. 

The strategies have included providing resources, aligning with organizations with similar core values and causes, developing coping mechanisms for those times when the process becomes overwhelming. We also included practical solutions to understanding business structure, business development, being compliant at a state and federal level, and providing the necessary tools to navigate through the process of starting and operating their business. 



the steps

Mission in Motion, Inc, has successfully launched a formal platform to provide the services desparately needed to move entrepreneurs from the idea of starting a business to the actual formation and development. Contributions will be utilized to aid these start-ups with covering some cost associated with fees which include, but are not limited to: licensure, purchasing products/ supplies, securing brick and mortar facilities (or on-line platforms), and marketing.

why we're doing it

There are many reasons why participants joined the Zoom sessions. Some of those reasons include developing responses to social service needs, creating a safe space for those who are experiencing homelessness, support victims of domestic violence, creating a legacy, and more. These are the reasons I remain excited about the work I am doing and the services I am offering through Mission in Motion, Inc.
