About the project
We are raising money to buy new equipment to replace outdated equipment, provide study hall resources for our athletes, purchase new uniforms, and pay other fees that are associated with the program.
Did you know that sports helmets have an expiration date just like food products?
For player safety, helmets have an expiration date, and this year our helmets had to be discarded due to that expiration date.
By making a donation to this fundraiser, you'll help us re-stock our helmets and other sports gear and give our youth the experience of playing a sport, safely, while they build character, confidence and friendships."
The Steps
Through social media and personal networks, we intend to share our project and request donations.
On equipment day we will present our new shiny and amazing uniforms out to our athletes and let them know our donors and sponsors helped us buy this for you all.
Why we‘re doing it
Sports help children develop positive character traits and life values. A few benefits of participation in youth athletics are positive attitudes, receiving mentorship, teamwork, discipline and the ability to deal with pressure and stressful situations. The Southfield Jayhawks prides ourselves in creating a positive and safe environment for students athletes to learn and have fun while receiving impactful mentorship that will have a long lasting effect in their journey of life. Our passion is to affect the lives of children in every aspect of their life in Southfield and the surrounding areas.
