Soundbender Institute Spring and Summer Program.
Starting in the Spring of 2023 and going through the Summer of Soundbender Institute will be implementing its Spring and Summer initiative. Soundbender Institute hopes to add more DJ stations, to facilitate more children per class session. Two new stations need to be added to facilitate more children. Ideally, one station would consist of a Rane One DJ Controller and the other would use an S9 mixer with equipment already provided at the school. Each station would also need an Apple Macbook Air to use the DJ Software.
Soundbender Institute has recently become a vendor for CMSD schools. Soundbender Institute is currently starting the process of showcasing for prospective Soundbender students at these schools. Soundbender Institute would use the JBL speakers to provide sound for the different showcases. We believe all of these items will help Soundbender acquire more students and improve children's mental health through music.
the steps
1. Buy the Rane One DJ Controller and S9 Mixer. Add a new DJ station to SoundBender Institute, this will bring the total to 7 stations, which can hold a total number of 14 students. New children's classes begin on March 4th, 2023
2. Buy older Model Macbook airs for the new station. Apple Laptops are the best for DJ Software and most creative activities. New children's classes begin March 4th, 2023
3. Buy JBL speakers and Subwoofers to perform showcases at CMSD Schools. (Late Spring 2023)
why we're doing it
Soundbender Institute is dedicated to helping children with their mental health. The CDC states that 1-5 children have a mental health issue, ranging from anxiety to depression. According to the National Alliance on Mental Health, music has been shown to act as a medium to process grief, reduce anxiety, and help with depression. The only thing better than listening to music is controlling it.
