why we're doing it
People of color often struggle with skin issues and self-image. We are doing this to assist individuals in attaining their skincare goals and needs while improving their self-esteem and confidence. It is important to give residents the necessary skills so they can learn how to best take care of the skin they’re in. Because, history tells us how prejudiced and judgemental systems can be in unfairly deciding on job placement and housing issues. This way, residents can begin to put their best faces and feet forward and have the confidence to go after that job to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
