Mission

Sis & Non-Cis (SNC) is an organization committed to healing, affirming and protecting young girls, women, and gender-expansive youth of color. Through political education and community organizing, SNC centers the leadership of those most impacted by racism and cis-hetero normative ableist patriarchy.

After years of abuse and gender-based violence at our previous organizing home, we envisioned a space that respects, values, and affirms our leadership as young women of color. SNC exists to provide young girls, women, and gender-expansive youth of color with the resources and space free of racial and gender discrimination.

We are seeking support through people-powered and individual donor fundraising to support the strategic development and formation of our organization. We are raising funds to provide stipends to the organization's founders and pay for food and travel. The funds raised will also support organizational accounts such as Zoom, G-Suite, Link Tree, and Grammarly.

why we're doing it

Vision

Black and Brown girls, women, and gender-expansive youth of color are at the forefront of movements fighting to dismantle oppressive systems while navigating the complexities of gender-based violence, racism, and classism. Black and Brown girls, women, and gender-expansive youth of color deserve spaces free of racism and cis-hetero normative ableist patriarchy.

Sis and Non-Cis (SNC) envisions a world where girls, women, and gender-expansive youth of color are safe, affirmed, and protected. SNC is committed to centering their leadership through political education and community organizing. SNC is comprised of youth between the ages of 14 - 25 who lead organizing campaigns that impact our communities.
