the project

We are celebrating history, arts, and culture in the Glenville community with the arts of storytelling and artistic expression through digital fabrication - a set of technologies for building and "making." A project of Fab House Cleveland and Mantles & Makers that has partnered with local art organizations such as Literary Cleveland and Ingenuity Cleveland, this program works with residents to capture stories through oral and written composition forms creating tangible forms of artwork.

the steps

  • Recruiting community partners and participants
  • Scheduling maker-sessions
  • Digital fabrication of our stories!

why we're doing it

The goal is to offer Glenville residents an opportunity to share their personal histories and narratives to use the art of storytelling and composition to preserve the histories of Black people and a community often erased and overlooked.
