About the project
We hope to revitalize our community and renew civic pride by restoring abandoned properties and reintroducing them to the community. We want to teach ecological responsibility through green projects, increase civic pride by replacing blight with livable spaces and create a duplicatable template for beautiful communities across the city. We hope to spread awareness about historical properties, the importance preserving them and the rich character and culture they represent in our communities. The Richard's House has given us a unique opportunity that we can not miss for that sake of the future of our community and all who live, love and laugh here every day. We want to insure that legacy will continue for years to come.
The Steps
We will follow a 30-60 day timeline based on weather conditions. Our first steps will be dumpster rental, tool purchase and printing informational flyers and materials to encourage further support for the overall project. We will spend the majority of the timeline transforming this distressed landscape into a beautiful gathering place in which to do our trainings and recruit supporters for the revitalization of the Estival Park Community.
Why we‘re doing it
Our community is in need of relief from blight. We want to use our combined education, training and cultural connections to heighten awareness, provide training and make this community an example of what civic pride can do to help maintain our architectural and cultural heritage for generations to come.
