Revival Relief

Help Revival Chili provide meals to medical and other essential employees in Pittsburgh, while continuing our mission of employing economically vulnerable people.

About the project

We plan to utilize our Revival Chili food truck to provide complimentary hot meals to area front-line workers and first responders (medical facilities, hospitals, police stations, fire departments, etc.) as a show of support and appreciation for those working in often high risk, life-sustaining industries.

Since the inception of the Revival brand, we have been committed to hiring individuals with barriers to employment, making our employees especially vulnerable to the economic consequences of COVID-19. To combat this and to prevent having to lay off our close-knit family of employees, we have developed a new initiative to help us survive these trying times for the restaurant industry while helping others in the process.

The Steps

We had our first Revival Relief event on 4/9/20 for the Wilkinsburg Borough. We already have plans in place to deliver food at surrounding hospitals. On 4/22, 4/23 and 4/29 we will be providing food for different departments at UPMC Passavant. We are in discussions with other hospitals and will continue lining up deliveries as donations come in!

Why we‘re doing it

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Revival Chili and Nancy’s Revival have implemented the PA & CDC guidelines of social distancing and remains open for pickup and delivery orders. In order to uphold a positive approach, we have made every effort to maintain our employee base however the pandemic has put a strain on our resources to stay financially stable through this difficult time.

Please consider sponsoring our food truck to support these community heroes while helping Revival employees survive in the process. We sincerely appreciate the love and support being shared amongst our community in these trying but hopeful times.
