Seward County United Way, Genesis Family Health and the Liberal Area Coalition for Families are joining efforts to lead up the community support response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Seward County. All three organizations have already been receiving phone calls and requests for assistance - financial, food, utilities, upcoming medical bills, paying for child-care as children are unexpectedly out of school. Nobody had planned for this unpleasant surprise therefore there is no built-in assistance for it. This fund-raising campaign is part of our response.
the steps
By April 15th 2020 - Set up agreed upon guidelines for distribution of funds
By April 22nd 2020 Write up flyer and guidelines - in English and Spanish - for distribution in the community
April 27th 2020 Re-distribute information about Fund to organizations and individuals (re-distribute because community knows because they raised the funds)
April 30th 2020 Seward County United Way and Genesis Family Health will distribute and keep track of the funds as they come in.

Guess what everyone! Thanks to the generosity of some early givers we have raised over 20% of the goal for our community in 5 days!
Yahoo! Thank you so much. I know we can double that by April 15th! We have our first and second positive cases of COVID-19. The needs are here but our responses are greater. God is greatest.
