About the project
RECLAIM + SUSTAIN
FOOD AND FARM WEEKEND
On Saturday, September 9th 12-7pm at Thomas Dunn Learning Center (3113 Gasconade St. 63118), Solidarity Economy St. Louis is hosting RECLAIM + SUSTAIN: A FOOD AND FARM WEEKEND. We're bringing people together around the belief that everyone should have access to healthy, affordable, and locally-sourced food. We'll be sharing and connecting with farmers, gardeners, business owners, chefs, holistic healers, educators, artists, community organizers, and anyone else who wants to be part of a food justice movement.
If you want to transform our food system from the ground up, RECLAIM + SUSTAIN is for you!
The Steps
We have been working for months to make RECLAIM + SUSTAIN a reality--with your help we can finally see everything come together!
We have already have lined up TEN amazing workshops for the following topics:
- growing food
- intro to permaculture
- herbal teas
- juicing and food preservation
- raising backyard animals
- cooking demos
- healthy eating / plant-based diets
- fitness demos
- sexuality and nutrition
Your support will help make the workshops FREE to the public, while also ensuring that all of our presenters are compensated for their time and energy. All of our events will be family friendly.

Why we‘re doing it
Solidarity Economy St. Louis is a network of groups and individuals striving to build and grow a “solidarity economy;" that is, an economy that embodies the values of justice, sustainability, self-determination, and cooperation while resisting the notion of “every person for themselves.” Learn more about us at www.solidaritystl.org
