About the project
It's spring...time to plant Phase II of the Falls Village Native Pollinator Friendly Gardens and YOU can be a part of the fun! No donation is too small. This is an opporutnity for every resident to contribute...and Sustainable CT will match 1-for-1 every dollar donated.
Last year Falls Village residents Vicki Cohen, Page Dickey and Deb Munson designed a selection of native plants that would attract butterflies and help our pollinators flourish. Native gardens need little, if any, pruning or care. This saves money. Native gardens use only rain water and no pesticides, no herbicides, no fertilzers which is beneficial to the environment and our health.
Falls Village is taking steps to improve our sustainability and bringing fresh and exciting landscaping to our village center.
The Steps
We are raising money to buy plants that our expert local gardeners have selected and we have volunteers ready to dig in the dirt. Just imagine in a few weeks Main Street will be a pollinator paradise thanks to you.
Last year we created pocket gardens and this year we will refresh the front of Town Hall together.
Why we‘re doing it
We are thrilled to do our part for the environment!
No pesticides. No herbicides. No chemical fertilizers. No need for pruning. Less water consumption. Yeah!
