the project
Painting in the Park Family Fun Day was created to celebrate the diversity of the arts and creativity in children and families. Not only can kids explore their imagination, but parents can tap into theirs too. It’s a day of fun where technology is set aside (except for the occasional selfies). Since 2014, we have had the pleasure of being a place where friends connect, and family bonding occurs through various art forms.
The value of Art is essential and has the power to transform lives. Unfortunately, art programs are one of the first programs to be cut due to lack of funding. Local community and national programs like the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) and NEH (National Endowment for the Humanities) are in constant jeopardy of being drastically cut or elimanated. Our annual event highlights the importance of the arts and is a premeir place for families to attend that may have limited resources. Here are just a few facts of what art education and activities provide:
- Healing
- Exploration
- Expanded Imagination
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Community and Family Unity
- Relaxation
- Expression
- Confidence
- Freedom
We will continue planting seeds of love, hope and creativity. With your contribution, we will continue hosting Painting in the Park Family Fun Day, give away art supplies at this event and at our various programs throughout the year. Thank you for your support and helping us Keep Art Alive.

why we're doing it
My love and passion for the arts began as a little girl. The beauty of imagination has the power to change lives. Painting in the Park Family Fun Day was created to impact lives through the art of creativity. Since its inception, we have been a platform for new artists wanting to showcase their artwork and a bridge uniting various cultures. In addition, it is a day where families can disconnect from technology and connect through the world of ingenuity. Art is everything. And we are proud to be a premiere community event where people and repeat attendees from all over Northeast Ohio come out to celebrate creativity. It has been rewarding to help keep art alive through our Annual event and other programs. Giving away art supplies to children in need is icing on the cake.
