the project

Our Mission: We at Champaign Public Media are committed to producing and presenting trusted, best-in-class content fueled by a distinctly public TV sensibility. We're fundraising to finance operations next year, including office space, office supplies, technology and personnel costs.

Our Purpose: We create new documentaries and radio shows that are for the greater good of humanity.

the steps

Committed to building an innovative, creative, and collaborative culture that enriches, engages, and inspires our audiences 24/7 with streaming jazz radio and digital television offerings from us and and our content partners.

why we're doing it

Storytelling Excellence: We strive to be a best-in-class nonprofit media company by setting the highest standards of quality in all that we do.

We produced two award-winning documentaries in the last 18 months, including the Telly Award-winning film, The Frank Capra Story (2019) and the Davey Award-winning On With the Show (2020). Our small nonprofit earned the same Gold Medal for creativity from the Daveys that the cast of Saturday Night Live did, in another category. We also air a 24/7 jazz streaming radio staton and a digital TV affiliate of the FNX/PBS network! To continue the exceptional success as a PBS producer and affiliate digital channel, we need to continue creating new documentaries and other programming, like news, jazz radio notes, and cultural far from our partners at WFMT Radio Network and the FNX/PBS Network! Donations will pay for office space, salary, office expenses, and travel, and salaries. Our work is for the greater good of mankind, creating new documentary films and educating the next generation, through the arts, on culture.
