the project
Operation Crosstown is a volunteer-driven, collaborative effort between the Church Health Center and several community partners to make Memphis' Crosstown neighborhood healthier, safer, and more livable. All Operation Crosstown project ideas come from the very community they serve, and include a community mural, a running trail, bike repair stations, a healthcare pop-up, and greenspace renovation.
the steps
After collaborative community planning, volunteers will execute the projects in Crosstown.
why we're doing it
A livable neighborhood is vital to the health of individuals in any community. Bringing positive changes like public art and chances to interact and get moving outdoors will directly impact the health outcomes of local residents. These projects will also give Memphians an opportunity to show that they care about Crosstown and all it offers to the city.
