the project

We are organizing a crowd fundraiser for Night Walker Sessions: Her Power Volume Two

DATES FOR THE EVENT WILL BE MARCH 24-26th!

Our goal is to curate a three day event that asserts the power of Her within street dance; by spotlighting various women of different creative backgrounds to deliver inspiration, perspective and knowledge through a series of presentations.

Day one will consist of getting acquainted with women from the street dance culture. It consists of a showcase from selected talents, as well as a personal Q&A centered around the stories and details of how each panelist grew into their current position within their creative endeavors. We aspire to ignite an empowered synergy within the community of creatives, by honing in on the character behind each talent.

Day two will entail a two vs two women's only open styles dance battle, an all gender 7 to Smoke, exhibition battles, vendors, & a food truck. This day concentrates on the heart of street dance; emphasizing high energy, competition, and liveliness.

Day three allows us to get active through a variety of dance workshops from our judges. After two days of observing these talents in their element of great artistry, we now have the chance to learn from them directly. We will be booking a dance studio for those that want to learn their movement and theories.

the steps

Once we acquire the funding we will -

- Book the venue, talent(s), lodging, and traveling

- Create marketing materials such as flyers, posters around the city, social media bites, and produce small events leading up to the major event

- Build instillations for the event

- Design and produce merchandise

- Reach out to vendors & partners

why we're doing it

The purpose of Night Walkers: "Her Power" serves to celebrate and empower the creative abilities and accomplishments of the women within the street dance culture. With street dance being a widely male dominated space, our mission is to center around the rich, transformative influence that women have bestowed upon this corner of artistry. We desire to uplift the journeys and stories of these women, while encouraging the community to explore and embrace their creative passions.
