the project

As a proud recipient of the New Pittsburgh Courier - Woman of Excellence, I was awarded this great honor by providing services to the underserved and underrepresented precious souls in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas.

We, my great Team - provided services to our Seniors (Ministry Events; Christmas Wish List; Health and Wellness Dance Instruction; Reformed Presbyterian Home 5th Sunday Services and Senior/Youth Pen Pals); to the Urban League Women Shelter on the Northside (Hallelujah Night for young people, “Breaking ties that Bind” sessions for the Women and Empowerment Seminars);  Ministry Events at the Light of Life Missions (Valentine Day Service and Luncheon in the Park); Pre-thanksgiving Event for the Hungry in partnership with the Mt. Arrat Male Chorus; Pre-Christmas Wish List with the Maximillan Motorcycle Club of Pittsburgh and Bundle Coat Drive and fed 250 workers at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

“Thank you” for this great opportunity. Because of COVID-19, the individuals that usually sponsor me are unemployed and/or need help also.

Right now our donations are doubled with ioby to continue to serve our community.

This grant will allow YOU to bless us to be able to continue being a blessing!

the steps

When, we have been awarded this needed matching grant - Immediately we will begin to purchase items for the pre-Thanksgiving feeding drive. We did an email blast asking for families in need from the North/South/East/West areas of Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. The person that referred someone had to provide a "why" or "need" for the person they referred.  We used this to determine the recipient and met the family.

For the Reformed Presbyterian Home - we are so blessed to have a standing 5th Sunday Ministry here.  We will have toiletry baskets to hand out to our Seniors.

In December my team and before COVID-19 my grandkids, would be "Secret Santas" at Children's Hospital passing out gift cards with notes to "pass the kindness on" and this year because of COVID-19 - we wanted to bless the Nurses/staff at UPMC/AHN, other overworked and under appreciated essential workers.

why we're doing it

Multiplistic Services was started to provide services to the underserved/underrepresented souls that didn't have anyone to provide love, compassion and understanding to our Seniors, to Women that felt lost and didn't know how to begin to "Break those ties that Bind"; to young people that needed to be "heard" and understood and now with COVID-19 - a "voice" for them to let them know that all things will work out for their good.  This is why we are here - to meet the unmet needs of community and we are blessed to be a blessing to others.  This grant will allow YOU to bless us to be able to continue being a blessing!
