the project

It is our core mission to sustain and empower the under served youth, here in the Pittsburgh region, through education in agriculture. This will allow us to establish a solid foundation for critical thinking, entrepreneurship, and job creation, in order to effectively implement and promote good habits within the communities that we are looking to serve.

Our plan is to grow a variety of herbs, fruits and vegetables that can be sold locally throughout the year. We will grow our client base through networking, social media, farmers markets, and single company promotion events.

The funds will help us go from gardening to farming, so that we can establish the necessary foundation to ensure the future success of the youth that we are working with.

the steps

  • Purchase tools and supplies
  • Build raised beds
  • Begin planting crops
  • Update website to effectively promote nonprofit program
  • Hire part-time work force

why we're doing it

Building up the youth is the fundamental driver of everything that we do! In order to achieve this mission, we want to help them to become entreprenuers at a young age, so that they are learning the skills needed to operate a profitable farm in the city.
