the project

We’re not going anywhere. We’re launching the next era of Manchester Growing Together Farm with an apprenticeship program, and a new hoop house with utilities. We are setting our roots into our community and our future generation.

We want to introduce young people to the importance of clean and healthy eating, while providing career mentorship in an urban environment. Currently, farm apprenticeships are not available in the urban environment. Local students come to us asking for job training opportunities, and so we're going to put the structure in place and give that opportunity to our young people to grow and learn.

We have a partnership with USDA, we’re installing a large green house to grow year round and begin an official urban farming program, and we’re going to create and launch value-added products as well as growing fresh vegetables. We’re launching our educational programs with this apprenticeship for workforce development. We’re also going to teach intergenerational classes in healthy cooking, with a special focus on nutritious cooking classes for those with cancer. We’ll also host holistic wellness classes, such as yoga.

We’re building up our bodies, and our community, and everybody coming together as neighbors.

Donations are doubled right now to reach our first $20,000 so give today for your funds to go their farthest!
