the project
A total of 5,017 Ohio residents died from unintentional drug overdoses in 2022.
We have created a Rap/Poetry Summit to bring awareness and help put a stop to the opiate epidemic. We will have local rappers end poets performing, specifically talking about staying drug free. We will also have recovering addicts who have overdosed, been addicted and are now sober, telling there story and sharing their experience and strength in hopes of helping saving another suffering addict.
the steps
Once the funds are received we will secure the vendor, purchase the equipment and the food and begin to advertise the event.
why we're doing it
We are doing this in hopes of bringing awareness to the community about the opiate epidemic and letting people who are addicted know that they do not have to live that way and there is a way out.
