the project
Creation of a Little Free Library filled with children's books in the Richbriar neighborhood. The Richbriar neighborhood will engage in fundraising efforts to construct and stock a Little Free Library. Children of Richbriar will come together to fundraise, design, construct, and stock a Little Free Library. Local children and adults will gather around these stories, talk about good books they have read, and share them with others.
the steps
- Fundraise $350 to buy materials.
- Purchase materials.
- Construct Little Free Library.
- Stock library with books.
why we're doing it
The Little Free Library will allow easy access to children's literature and foster a love of reading. It can be a convenient way to share "required reading" books of neighborhood schools. Finally, we are just blocks away from The Greenline, and hope to be one of many libraries creating community along the way!
