Let's Help Everyone Celebrate Thanksgiving

As Thanksgiving approaches, we are once again preparing to spread warmth and kindness to families in need. This year, our goal is to provide a hearty Thanksgiving meal to 300 families, and we need your help to make it happen. 

We are aiming to raise $5,000 to cover the cost of the meal distribution, which includes turkeys, side dishes, and other essentials for a complete holiday feast.  Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. 

Thanksgiving meal kits will be distributed to families on Friday, November 22nd from 11:00am until 5:00pm at CDSC's office located at 352 Classon Avenue.

We are requesting funds to help families enjoy Thanksgiving because this holiday is about more than just food - it's about community, gratitude, and the joy of coming together.  For many families facing food insecurity, however, the stress of daily survival can overshadow the opportunity to celebrate.

Thanksgiving provides a moment of relief and normalcy, but without adequate resources, many households will go without a proper meal, missing the chance to experience the connection and warmth this holiday represents.  By helping us raise funds, you ensure that families who are struggling can still enjoy a nourishing meal, experience the joy of gathering, and feel the dignity that comes from sharing in the tradition.

Since 1998, CDSC has made every effort to ensure that we provide our community members with the resources to join in the celebration. However, the number of families and individuals in need has increased and we are unable to meet the demand, so we are reaching out to you for assistance.
