The goal of this project is to raise funds to give up to 500 families and individuals experiencing food insecurity the opportunity to participate in the holiday experience by providing them with nutritious and culturally-appreciated ingredients to make a full Thanksgiving meal.
The Child Development Support Corporation has experienced heightened demand for its services. The rising costs of living and food shortages have exacerbated existing food insecurity and increased the costs of, and demand for, food assistance programs. To ensure that folks are still able to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday experience with dignity and full bellies, CDSC is asking you for your help. Please give today! Help us achieve our goal of feeding 500 families this Thanksgiving!
CDSC will purchase and prepare the meal ingredients for local pick-up, at our distribution event on November 21st.
Thanksgiving meal kits will be distributed to families and individuals on Tuesday, November 21st from 11:00am until 5:00pm at CDSC's office located at 352 Classon Avenue.
We are doing this project because we believe no one should be excluded from participating in holiday events. When the entire city is in full Thanksgiving holiday mode, it is unsettling to know that some families and individuals are unable to participate because of lack of funds and resources. Since 1998, CDSC has made every effort to ensure that we provide our community members with the resources to join in the celebration. However, the number of families and individuals in need have increased and we are unable to meet the demands, so we are reaching out to you to assistance.
Everyone deserves to celebrate. Help us give our community members a Happy Thanksgiving!
