Why we‘re doing it

There is a great need for construction workers across the U. S. and locally.  The construction sector is continually growing and their is a lack of skilled workers in construction trades.

As a community development professional with over 20 yrs of experience working with youth and a construction general contractor I have been getting numerous calls from companies looking for  trades persons to work on med-large projects which require minority participation and I simply don't have a pool of individuals to draw from. In addition, many unemployed/underemployed young people simply don’t know what their options are or where to begin.

The project will help bridge the gap by connecting and providing insight into the construction field to youth and young adults including available training options, and apprenticeship opportunties.
