the project

Entrepreneurial skills and opportunities for school aged students are few and far between. The Hustle aims to create a variety of spaces for students to learn and build on these skills.

  • The Course: At The Hustle students learn by doing. Through this 10-week course, students become familiar with business strategies, best practices, research skills and are also provided a safe and empowering space to be creative and ultimately build out their entrepreneurial projects.
  • The Hustle Presents: A diverse entrepreneurial speaker series geared towards school aged students on zoom.

We are raising money to continue to develop these programs and increase our impact with students.

the steps

At The Hustle we are working towards obtaining our own 501C3 status. Until that is approved, we have partnered with IOBY to get the program off the ground.

The Course: We will work with teachers to develop a curriculum to teach students about business development, networking, leadership, problem-solving and more. We will create focus groups for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year to introduce the curriculum in different spaces at a variety of schools to collect data on highest impact and potential scalability.

The Hustle Presents: We will work with different founders and entrepreneurs to develop an interview series that is geared towards High School students' diverse interests and needs in the setting.

why we're doing it

Traditional education and curriculum closes the door for so many students who want to create and solve problems but in an unstructured way. Our education system is highly structured and does not prepare our students for an unstructured world. We need to build personal agency in learning and invigorate students to take learning and creating into their own hands.
