About the project

Entrepreneurial skills and opportunities for High School students are few and far between. The Hustle aims to create a variety of spaces for students to learn and build on these skills. We are raising money to continue to develop The Hustle and increase our impact with students:

Club: The Hustle will continue as an after-school club where students will work with a range of diverse entrepreneurs and founders on building their own businesses throughout the school year. The club will be led by entrepreneur Noah Greenberg.

Curriculum: The Hustle will also work to create an entrepreneurial curriculum to be incorporated in a traditional classroom setting.

Speaker Series: The Hustle Presents will host a diverse entrepreneurial speaker series geared towards HS students on zoom.

The Steps

Club: We will continue to partner with Noah Greenberg (entrepreneur and co-founder of the club) on building the after-school club that meets with the same 15 students every week. The club will culminate in a shark tank-style presentation where students will pitch their businesses to an audience of founders for future mentorship.

Curriculum: We will work with HS teachers to develop a curriculum to teach students about business development, networking, leadership, problem-solving and more. We will create focus groups to introduce parts of the curriculum into classes that already exist to collect data and eventually build its own class.

Speaker Series: We will work with different founders and entrepreneurs to develop an interview series that is geared towards High School students' diverse interests and needs in the setting.

Why we‘re doing it

Traditional education and curriculum closes the door for so many students who want to create and solve problems but in an unstructured way. Our education system is highly structured and does not prepare our students for an unstructured world. We need to build personal agency in learning and invigorate students to take learning and creating into their own hands.
