About the project

The inaugural Black Alamance County Awards is an effort to showcase some of the most outstanding Black owned businesses, community organizations, entrepreneurs, individuals and services in Alamance County, NC. The Award's mission is to celebrate Black owned and operated businesses, serving as a marketing and recognition platform for those individuals while encouraging the community's next generation of Black business leaders. The BAC Awards will also give the community a voice in identifying and promoting the businesses that they most support. It's an excellent way to ask the community about Black Owned businesses and organizations while identifying those companies with the best brands, customer service and reputations. We would like to provide a formal award event for all of the nominees and 3 guest, free of charge. This would be a red carpet, black and white afair.  A night of Black Excellence and Black Joy!

The Steps

Once cash is in hand pay for the building, decorations, awards, food and decorations.  Formal invites will be sent to all nominees.

Why we‘re doing it

Black businesses and individuals have long gone unnoticed in Alamance County, NC.  The BAC awards were nominated and voted on by the community.  These nominations have help to build the black business directory in Alamance County.  Although this night celebrates Black excellence it also is a marketing and networking event.
