About the project
The $147,951 of funds raised hopefully by 8/30/2022 for the Montgomery Working Women Network of the National Association for Female Executives (MWWN), Inc. will be used to provide the educators and students of Jefferson Davis High School, Booker T. Washington Magnet School and George Washington Carver High School with the finances and resources they will need to accomplish their academic endeavors for fiscal year 2020-2022.
The Steps
The Montgomery Working Women Network of the National Association for Female Executives (MWWN), Inc. will set up a meeting with the Principal of Jefferson Davis (JD) High School on September 19, 2022 to hand deliver three cashier's checks to the Principal. The cashiers checks will be made payable to the Jefferson Davis High School's Youth in Government Club, the Math Department, and Art Department. The funds will enable the JD High School Youth in Government Club to obtain Youth Judicial, Legislative training by legal professionals, educators, volunteers and have its yearly Youth In Government Banquet. JD students, parents, state, city representatives, county commisssioners and community leaders are invited to attend and plaques and trophies are presented at the banquet to outstanding educators, students and, civic leaders. Funds for the JD Math Department will enable the JD Math Department to provide 35 MacBook Air, for 35 students, Math Resource Books, to support ACT, with Math Standardized Text Practice Workbooks, enable students to attend Math field trips, obtain pencils, ink pens, paper, ink cartages, dry markers, scientific calculators, cleaning supplies and other essentials during the pandemic to 200 students. Funds for the JD Art Department will provide the JD art students with the very much needed art supplies to create very excellent crafts of art. Secondly, MWWN, Inc., will set up a meeting with the Principal of Booker T. Washington Magnet High School on September 26 , 2022, to hand deliver a cashier's check made payable to Booker T. Washington Magnet High School Music Department. Funding for Booker T. Washington Magnet High School will enable the students to take choral trips to Dallas, Texas and New York. The funds will also be used to buy Tuxes for 20 new students, Choral Dresses for 30 new students, Dashikis(s) for 70 students, chartered buses, professional development, piano maintenance, and festival registrations. Thirdly, MWWN, Inc. will set up a meeting with the Principal of George Washington Carver High School on October 3, 2022, to hand deliver a cashier's check made payable to George Washington Carver High School Music Department. Funding for the Geroge Washington Carver High School will be used for piano maintenance, drum parts, new roland keyboard/work center, choir uniforms, accompanists for concerts, music library, chartered buses, and choral trip to Dallas, Texas.

The Montgomery Working Women Network of the National Association for Female Executives (MWWN), Inc. is an approved combined federal campaign (CFC) charity for fiscal year 2020-2021; CFC Code; 82299. MWWN, Inc., strives to be an advocate of providing a safe, positive environment for students and youth during the hours they are most at risk; increase academic interest and performance, strengthen moral and development skills; and build community collaborations; pubic/private partnerships that result in program quality and sustainability. MWWN, Inc., actively pursues the availability of countywide infrastructures that will provide immediate, on going and sustainable access to network of quality resources, connection to agencies and organizations in a systematic and coordinated manner. Obtaining funds to help students and educators in Montgomery County, Alabama to achieve their academic goals, will help to bring about positive results both for the educators and students in terms of providing the funding and resources needed to allow them access to an excellent educational system that supports their educational endeavors and that will ultimately create more stable communities.
