Help Replace Jefferson Market Garden's Iron Rose Arbor

The rusty iron arbor has already been removed and we hope to replace it with a new arbor to provide shade for the rose garden bench and restore the area to its original beauty.

Location

70 A Greenwich Village New York, NY 10011

About the project

Jefferson Market Garden's iron rose arbor that shades a favorite bench for friends, readers, newly married couples, and others who just want a respite from the city, needs to be replaced.

The Steps

Please consider helping us replace our rose arbor by making a contribution to our Rose Arbor Replacement Fund. Any contribution is much appreciated; donations up to $250 will be matched through a generous grant from Partnerships for Parks. We hope you will help your community garden regain its iconic arbor in time for a new season at the Jefferson Market Garden.

Why we‘re doing it

The rose arbor lends a sense of tranquility to the garden, which is situated in an area with few other private parks for city dwellingers to enjoy. It attracts visitors from all around the world, and guests return to visit it time and again. It is important for us to maintain what has become an enduring icon of the village.
