Everyone deserves mental health care, but not everyone can afford it. We are committed to bridging that gap and providing free therapy for as many as possible who otherwise would not have access to care.
With your help, we will change lives and reduce stigma around mental health. Donate today to support our first Fund, which will provide free weekly therapy for 2 months for people who would not be able to afford care otherwise.
the steps
1. We reach out to our waiting list of individuals seeking care and the waiting lists of our partner nonprofits to fill the groups.
2. Candidates will go through an application process that determines their eligibility for free care.
3. We reach out to the providers in our therapist community to identify practitioners who are a good fit for the applicants.
4. We will select recipients of the free care and connect them with therapists.
5. The practitioners will provide therapy, helping participants develop comprehensive tools to support their mental health. The providers are paid competitively for their experience and service.
why we're doing it
In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, we are proud to announce a new partnership between The Mayfair Group and MyWellbeing. MyWellbeing is a mental health organization that matches you with the *right* therapist or coach, while supporting behavioral health providers in business and personal growth.
With this partnership, we’re working together to help destigmatize mental health, provide education and curriculum on mental wellness, and help provide high quality and diverse therapy options to marginalized communities. We are taking the first step by contributing $10,000 to the brand new The Mayfair Group x MyWellbeing Therapy Fund — a donation that will go directly to providing therapy services to those who may not otherwise have access to mental health care.
This is just the beginning of our work together. Through this partnership we’ve learned about the significant legislative barriers involved in national access to resources and therapy. The Mayfair Group and MyWellbeing are united in our commitment to grow this fund as we continue to move the needle for widespread access and legislation for high quality therapy resources.
