The Guardians: A Community Holiday Play

We are excited about our upcoming production entitled "The Guardians", which will be performed at The New Hazlett Theater on December 18, 2018! This holiday production features acting, dance, mime, and original music. "The Guardians" provides an enriching experience for young people and adults who are interesting in acting, dance and singing. It provides an opportunity for both amateur and seasoned actors/actresses to learn from Pittsburgh's own directress and actress, Rita Gregory.

The North Side community, and many from surrounding communities, looks forward to this event every year! Our annual attendance ranges between 300 and 400 people. Your gift will help us provide quality, low-cost entertainment, while also providing training for both professional and amateur actors/actresses and aspiring actors/actresses. 

A portion of the monies we receive from donations, will be used to provide scholarships to youth groups and families so that they can attend "The Guardians." "The Guardians" provides an uplifting holiday message that is beneficial to the whole community. We will start contacting groups in early December to invite them to take advantage of the scholarships that you have made available through your donations.

We are exposing inner-city families to a low-cost holiday production. Many low to moderate income families cannot afford to attend major holiday productions because of cost. This is an opportunity for them to see or be involved in a performance that they normally could not afford. The play, "The Guardians" gives a positive message of hope.
