Food For Thanks began as an effort to fill a void in our communities. During the holiday season families fellowship and create lasting memories. Food For Thanks was Created to help all families have forever memories. Let's make.plates and fill bellies!!

We will promote and soread thebword about the event. We will secure the event space. We will cook, warm, bag, and serve the meals throughout the city. We have predetermined meet up and drop off spots
why we're doing it
We are hosting Food For Thanks to be the change we want to see. We look forward to a day when as a community we refuse to leave each other behind.

Original budget
Fuel $1200 = volunteer drivers gather and deliver donations throughout the Metro Detroit area.
DJ $500 = the sounds of holiday tunes and GooD music helps keep the positive vibes & work efforts flowing for 6hrs.
$1000 = plates, Napkins, drinks, utensils, dessert containers, tote bags, hand sanitizer.
$500 = placing a Guard at each donation site helps to maintain order & protect our volunteers in high risk areas.
$800 = to rent the event spaces needed for distribution.
