About the project
This Cinco De Mayo Celebration, Fiesta Detroit, is to celebrate the Latinx holiday in a safe and inclusive space. We hope to support local artists and vendors by using our platform to bring exposure to the incredible talent hidden in Detroit. We Are Culture Creators services the needs of the often overlooked Latinx art community of Detroit. We are located at 4114 Bagley Detroit, Mi 48209. In partnership with Fiesta Vibes and Motor City Street Dance Academy, WACC provides tangible performance outlets for Latinx musicians, performers, artists and curators. We hope to raise funds to ensure we are able to continue funding our series of cultural events throughout the year of 2022. Such events consists of Juneteenth Bloom on the Block Book fair that is to showcase black authors and Vibes with the Tribes our Native American Collective hosting Michigan first native music and cultural event.

Why we‘re doing it
WACC strives to open platforms of access to industry jobs, workshops to build skills and professional development with opportunities to apply the skills they have learned with real life career paths in the arts. These events focus on the Millennial & Gen Z community of Southwest Detroit. Come out to see the latest talent in beauty, video, music, art, food and culture.
"Creating this project series allows me to have a deeper sense of appreciation and connection with my cultural roots. I'm excited to not only create this event but have the ability to share this with my community.“
