- THANK YOU!!
the project
Community Table Memphis manages organic community food bank gardens that directly serve local food pantries and soup kitchens. Due to the Corvid-19 Pandemic, with the loss of work and income, people are struggling like never before. Simultaneously, many places that offer free community meals have had to close for safety reasons due to the virus. Food pantries and food assistance resources are already spread thin, with months ahead of struggle and hardship for many. As a result, we have increased our growing capacity for the season, and we are gearing up for a record season. We are preparing for record harvests, plus additional labor for washing, weighing, packing, and deliveries, and all funds raised will go to cover these expenses.
the steps
Funds raised will go directly to increased hours of garden management labor, as well additional harvesting tools and crates, washing bins and drying equipment, scales for produce weighing, packing supplies such as bags and containers, and delivery costs (gas & vehicle management)
why we're doing it
This project is in direct response to the increased need for food assistance during the Corvid-19 Pandemic. Food pantries and food assistance resources are stretched incredibly thin right now, and we are doing our best to meet the need as best we can.

Hello everyone!
First, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that has shared this campaign or donated to it! Some of you have remained anonymous, so I just want each of you to know that these gardens exist solely from the support of people like you. Your contributions make a WORLD of difference in our operation. We are already ordering more tools and equipment so we can harvest more, wash more, pack more, and deliver more produce to those in the community who need it.
We are SO GRATEFUL for each and every one of you.
