the project

The mission of my project is to provide groceries to 100 low-income families through Queens NY or surrounding area, that are in financial struggles. We have verbal commitment from a food distributor, and securing a location to operate our project is our final step. 90% of the donation money will go towards securing the food distribution pick up. This project will run from September 5th, 2020- November 21th, 2020. 

the steps

1) First priority, secure and pay for the food distribution pick up location.

2) Once we are able to pay for the food distribution pick up location, we can finalize a weekly drop off with our food distrubtion partners starting on September 5th, 2020.

3) Order staff t-shirts that we will wear for the 12 weeks duration.

4) Purchase essential cleaning and sanitation items for staff and guests.

5) Provide transportation vouchers to our staff so they can get to and from food distribution location. 

why we're doing it

My team is EXTREMELY passionate and motivated to help our families who are struggling through this national economic crises. Unemployment has gone up drastically since the Covid 19 Pandemic lockdowns and millions of families are affected by job losses and lack of funds for groceries and essential items. Being able to provide a free service that will donate food and essential items will be a huge relief to these families.
