the project

Drive Literacy Memphis is a non-profit organization that donates books and other materials to young children grades K-2 in order to close the literacy gap.

the steps

Our next few steps are to prepare the library for Power Center Elementary. for the next school year. We will provide them with both purchased and donated books. We are also in contact with Crump Elementary and we hope to donate purchased books to them as well.

why we're doing it

As a child my parents made sure I read something everyday and today I realize that a lot of children don't get the same advantage because they are not provided the materials. I would like to provide these children with the same experience I was offered.

DISBURSEMENT BUDGET (as of 4/21/16):
