the project

The Dreamz of Music Foundation is raising support to provide disabled individuals with the opportunity to create, promote, and perform their music in a safe and accommodating environment. We believe in supporting disabled musicians in pursuing their dreams by providing them the mobility, visibility, and environment in which they feel they can succeed.

This funding goal is to obtain a handicapped accessible van to take our current artist to their studio sessions, live performances, and promotional opportunities.

This urgent need will immediately serve our 5 disabled musicians and more in the future.

Our future vision is to transform a building in Pittsburgh into a community center for disabled musicians. It will have an event center, studios, and offices, all the necessary equipment for the musicians and employees. This will come in 2020 and beyond.

Organizational Background

The Dreamz of Music Foundation supports disabled musicians by providing them with studio time, promotional services, and live performance time in order to help them succeed in the music industry. The overall goal is to provide a place for disabled musicians to fulfill their dreams. The Foundation values its musicians, and their commitment to their art. As it stands, 5 musicians are currently affiliated with the Foundation, and are regularly provided with live performances, studio time, and promotional services that are donated to us from cooperating organizations. The Dreamz of Music Foundation envisions a future where disabled musicians across America are granted the resources they need to longer be afraid or hesitant to produce and distribute their art.

The Dreamz of Music Foundation was conceived by George Fadale in order to aid his lifelong friend and co-founder, Phillip McKenzie. After a freak attack which ended with him becoming a quadriplegic, McKenzie’s struggle and persistence as a musician inspired Fadale to start a movement with the goal of supporting McKenzie, and many others like him.

Current Programs

  • The Dreamz of Music Foundation runs regularly scheduled, monthly performances for our musicians
  • We provide studio recording time each month for our musicians in several cooperating recording studios located in and around the Pittsburgh area.
  • Food and housing is provided to our musicians as needed.
  • Promotional services and materials are provided from donor organizations
  • Creative consulting and developmental services are also offered to our musicians.

why we're doing it

Our cause to support disabled musicians can bring together the creative community in pittsburgh unifying the citys creative entrepreneurs. Our city has no music epicenter where a musician can go and obtain knowledge and services to help build their career as an artist. Also this will give many opportunities to disabled musicians who don't have the means to chase the dreams.
