Enduring an economic shutdown, a stay-at-home order, and your own anxiety, all while heading up a non-profit organization that is built to support personal development and capacity building in individuals is unfathomable. Welcome to COVID-19 in 2020. COVID-19 all but brought our non-profit to its knees. Loss of wages, having contracts pulled, An uncertain future, is all that was known and factual.

Packing up years of growth, and coming out the other side, in some fashion, was our hope. Remote learning, the system's not being prepared to serve their respective populations, gave us a viable direction. Zoom and Microsoft Teams became our new office space and virtual classrooms. Efficient, user-friendly, and cost-effective, we are now able to rebuild and move consistently forward. It is not what we expected, but we are grateful for a soft landing spot.

COVID-19 was and is an unwelcomed and unimaginable intrusion on people, non-profits, and the world. In projecting the future, and our non-profit model, we never forecasted this virus, dismantling rapidly, all that we'd worked for. By God's grace, and our previous residency in the digital world, we were able to transition virtually. We have successfully engaged several CMSD schools, in their adjusting to an alternate way of learning. Taking our established (over 100 fathers) relationships with Dad's, to provide another level of leadership, for their scholars model after.  Embracing the new normal, respecting, while being responsive to the COVID protocols, will assist our navigation into the future, providing us an opportunity to build and succeed. Lastly, we need your help, to continue to serve.
