the project
Developing Real Entrepreneurs And Monies or D.R.E.A.M.S. was birthed in April 2017 as an extension of TSIEY- Tony Searight Investment Education For Youth. Beginning in the Spring of that year, I began to schedule outings to McDonald's holding meetings with our Youth Stock Shareholders as well as potential Youth Investors at a company that they actually own shares in. The idea behind that was to bring real-world investing to them by buying shares of companies that they buy from or frequent.
The Mission is to have every youth open a Custodial Stock Brokerage Account with their parents: To educate them about investing: To establish a network for them to research, learn, and share investing ideas: and to expose them to Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Opportunities by introducing them to the various type of businesses that they can start and the creative ways that they can fund them.
Beginning in December 2020, participants will work with Mr. Searight during 8 sessions to learn the basics of investing and entrepreneurship. At the end of the sessions (virtual for now but hopefully in person in the near future) the participants will earn a $100 gift card to Stockpile so that they can, along with their parents, open their own investment account.
the steps

- Scheduled Library Meetings
- Scheduled McDonalds Meetings*
- Field Trips ie Amazon, McDonald's, Walmart, Tesla Dealership(Other Companies Shares Owned)*

why we're doing it
I started teaching financial literacy and investing to young people after I retired from a 20-year nursing career, the last 4 being a school nurse. In those last four years, I noticed that kids did not possess the practical knowledge of how money and investing work. I wanted to do something about that so I started TSIEY and set about recruiting students from local schools and churches. Along the way, I discovered that the parents of the kids needed some coaching as well. My hope is to support families that traditionally are left out of the process and have not begun to build wealth for themselves and their families.
A couple of outcomes I hope to achieve include:
- Financial Education Involving Youth & Families
- Reduce wealth gap for our youth & future generations
- Lifelong Financial Empowerment
- Linking Entrepreneurship(Practical) With Wealth/Bio Of Sucessful Entrepreneurs In Private Sector & Publicly Traded Companies
- Establishing Custodial Accounts For Each Youth .... https://www.facebook.com/searightinvestmentsforyouthllc
